QEII Chairperson, Sir Brian Lochore
Sir Brian is well known and respected former All Black captain and coach, and member of the farming community.
He farms near Masterton in the Wairarapa and has a first-hand understanding of rural issues and practical land management.
Sir Brian was an All Black from 1963 to 1970 and was captain for five of those years. He later coached the All Blacks and it was under his coaching that the team won the inaugural World Cup in 1987. He has also been chairperson of the Hillary Commission.
Sir Brian Lochore, KNZM, OBE, was appointed to the Order of New Zealand on Waitangi Day 2007.
