The New Zealand Plant Conservation Network website has photographs, descriptions, threatened-plant status, habitat requirements and propagation techniques for native plants. You can also record sightings of threatened plants.
The WhatBird website gives photographs, descriptions and recordings of bird song to aid identification of both native and exotic bird species.
The DOC website provides information about various of New Zealand's native animals.
