Kauri dieback: how you can help

Commonly known as PTA, Phytophthora taxon Agathis is a microscopic fungus-like plant pathogen (a disease causing agent) that only affects kauri.

PTA can kill kauri trees and seedlings of all ages.

The Kauri Dieback website has information on the symptoms of the disease and how you can help stop it spreading.

You can also find fact sheets, technical documents and links to the organisations involved in the management of the disease.

Download QEII article on kauri dieback (includes tips on how to manage kauri on your land).

QEII covenantors should contact their QEII regional representative for information about managing kauri dieback.
