Governor's Bay - secluded 5 acre lifestyle block and cottage
A small cottage with all main services nestling in a secluded valley on land sloping towards the Lyttelton Harbour. One section of the property is zoned residential and the other is zoned rural.
Two acres are covenanted in conjunction with neighbouring properties providing a corridor of regenerating bush adjoining the Zephyr Stream. The other three acres have copses of native trees surrounded by a variety of nut trees including 55 hazels, 35 walnuts, six sweet chestnuts, 5 almonds and 5 pine nuts.

Bad news for weeds
Weeds are one of the biggest threats to our native biodiversity so when QEII reps are out doing their monitoring rounds they like to deal to the trickier ones on the spot if they can. Here QEII rep Trevor Thompson attacks a feral plum using Cut'n'Paste, a glysophate-based brush-on herbicide gel.
New Zealand-based company Landman Ltd is collaborating with QEII in the fight against weeds. In an exchange agreement it has given QEII supplies of its Cut'n'Paste herbicide for reps to use in covenants. For more information about the product go to the Cut'n'Paste website.
