
A 0.6 km boardwalk and walking track through diverse salt marsh, swamp shrubland and tall native swamp forest.

The area is privately owned and protected under a QEII open space covenant. It is part of an internationally important wetland and is habitat to threatened plants and the scarce South Island fernbird.
On-site visitor interpretation, guided tours and homestay accommodation are available.
