John Anderson Arboretum

A collection of some 260 species of North American, European and Chinese conifers, with well-marked walking tracks and all specimens labelled.
Free public access. An illustrated dossier about all the species in the collection is available for $20.00.
The privately owned 6-hectare arboretum, was established by the late forester and naturalist John Anderson, and is protected by QEII open space covenants.
Location: Chamberlain Road, 39km west of Timaru.
